2. Principle
Bloom is a casual merge game that can be played offline. Most of your data — in particular your game progress and settings — is stored locally on your device only and is not transmitted to us. Personal data is processed only to the extent described below through embedded Google services.
3. Data stored locally on your device
Game progress, stars earned, high scores, language and sound/vibration settings, and the "Bloom Pro" status are stored locally. This data leaves your device only if you use cloud saving via Google Play Games (see section 4). Uninstalling the app deletes the local data.
4. Embedded Google services & data processed
| Service | Purpose | Typical data | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Play Games | Sign-in, leaderboard, cloud save of game progress | Play Games player ID, game progress, high score | Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (providing the feature you use) |
| Google AdMob (ads) | Showing ads (banner after game over, optional "second chance" video) | Advertising ID, device/usage data, truncated IP, ad interaction | Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent, see section 5) |
| Google UMP | Collecting & storing your advertising consent | Consent status | Art. 6(1)(c)/(f) GDPR |
| Google Play Billing | Processing the "Bloom Pro" purchase (remove ads) | Purchase/order data, purchase token (payment handled by Google) | Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract) |
| Google Play In-App Review | Showing the rating dialog after a success moment | no personal data accessible to us | Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Automatic crash reports to improve stability | Crash stack trace, device/OS info, app state, anonymous install ID | Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a stable app) |
| Firebase Analytics | Anonymized usage/reach analysis | App instance ID, advertising ID, event/usage data, device/region | Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent, see section 5) |
| Firebase Remote Config | Loading configuration values on start (e.g. active in-app events and gameplay fine-tuning) to adjust content without an app update | anonymous Firebase installation ID (no names, e-mail addresses or location data) | Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in up-to-date content/event control) |
| Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications) | Optional reminders & event hints – only after you explicitly enable them in the app settings (off by default) | device token (not generated without your consent) | Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent, revocable at any time) |

Push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging) are off by default. A device token is only created once you explicitly enable notifications in the app settings; no message is sent without your consent. You can disable them at any time in the app settings or in your Android system settings. All Firebase services are additionally covered by Google's data processing terms (Firebase Data Processing and Security Terms) as part of the Firebase Terms of Service.
5. Consent & withdrawal (ads / analytics)
Where legally required (in particular in the EEA), your consent is obtained via the Google User Messaging Platform before personalized ads or analytics processing. You can withdraw consent at any time with future effect:
- in the app under Settings → "Withdraw consent" (shown where required for your region), or
- by purchasing "Bloom Pro", which permanently disables advertising.
6. Recipients & international transfers
The recipient of the data in section 4 is Google. Data may be transferred to servers in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; EU Standard Contractual Clauses serve as an additional safeguard (Art. 46 GDPR).
7. Retention
Local data remains until you uninstall the app or reset it within the app. Retention of data processed by Google follows their privacy terms. Crash and analytics data are kept in pseudonymized form only as long as necessary.
8. Your rights & data deletion
Under the GDPR you have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). You may withdraw consent at any time (section 5). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, contact the e-mail address above.
- Local game data (progress, settings, "Bloom Pro" status): in the app under Settings → "Reset progress" or by uninstalling the app – both immediately delete all locally stored data.
- Play Games cloud save (if you use Google Play Games): deletable yourself in the Google Play Games app under Settings → Delete game data.
- Analytics & crash data (pseudonymized): send a short e-mail with the subject "Data deletion" to adem.studios@web.de. We will delete the data associated with you within 30 days. Statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.
9. Children
Bloom is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without parental consent.
10. Hosting of this page
This page is served via GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., USA), which processes technically necessary server log data (incl. IP address) when the page is opened.
